Pauline Michaud and the beginning of Atelier Michaud

A seed is planted

Pauline Michaud is the founder of Atelier Michaud and the designer behind our jewelry universe. From early childhood, Pauline was an adventurous, busy girl, always experimenting with new creative projects and ways of expressing herself visually. She particularly enjoyed painting, drawing and making jewelry from old beads and scraps she inherited. Her love of using her hands as a way to express her imagination and dreams followed her through her young life, and when she moved to Paris after business school, the seed that would later grow to become Atelier Michaud, was planted.

She returned to Denmark after 8 months of exploring and enjoy her favorite city and moved to Copenhagen to follow her dream of becoming a jewelry designer. After working for two danish jewelry brands and learning about the field from inside, she started her education “Jewellery, Technology and Business” at KEA in 2018. Alongside her studies, she founded Atelier Michaud, and started selling her first collection, designed and produced by herself in her apartment.

Dedication to details

Pauline is drawn by the energy and surprises in organic, delicate shapes, and seeks inspiration in the nuances and details of our wild nature. She is a mix of classy sophistication and modern bohemian and has a life-long passion and fascination for heirloom jewelry, jewelry history and fashion history. As a self-proclaimed and proud perfectionist Pauline embraces challenges and refuses to compromise. Every time she is beginning a new chapter with Atelier Michaud, it starts with learning all she needs to know about the area, to keep her brand universe growing and blooming.
